Reevoo, Europe’s leading social commerce aggregator, today announces the appointment of Andrew Phillipps as Executive Chairman and Jonathan Callcut as Chief Sales Officer. The appointments bring to the company a wealth of experience in managing rapid growth, as well as a track record in leading innovative consumer-focused businesses.
Mr Phillipps, one of the UK’s most successful internet entrepreneurs, co-founded and grew Active Hotels to become the largest and most profitable online hotel booking company in Europe. Phillipps also led the sale of Active Hotels to Priceline for $160m and subsequently ran Priceline’s international operations leading them to record results. Subsequently he bought into and became Chairman of Toptable, Europe’s largest online restaurant booking company, which was recently sold to Opentable.
Mr Calcutt, a serial entrepreneur, ran successful sales programmes for Sun Microsystems, Informix and Prime Computer before founding AssetHouse. He grew
AssetHouse to become one of Europe’s leading players in ipTV and digital entertainment and led its sale to Amino Communications in 2008. Subsequently he founded Exploitmedia, a digital commerce consultancy with clients in Europe and North America.
